International Cricket Council fails to convince Kiwis
New Zealand team players are not going to change thier minds as it was expected.Despite a detailed security conference led by the ICC,they still seemed to be shaky over the security concerns. It is to be noted that Champions Trophy 2008 is going to start from the 12th of september and days remained are very short.22 Kiwi players attended the meeting in addition to different officials. They asked different questions and seemed to be worried through out rhe conference.
The executive manager of the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association, Heath Mills has still some security problems and thereby may not be reccommending the Kiwis to go to Pakistan for the champions trophy. It is worthmentioning here that over the same issue Australia did not visit Pakistan recently.
Similar concerns are expected to be heard when the ICC group arrives to discuss the situation in Australia on Friday. The tournament is also expected to be on the agenda at Friday's New Zealand Cricket board meeting
